About the Image(s)
This image of the Ruby Throated Hummingbird was taken in my backyard in Georgia end of September. Soon these birds will migrate down south for the winter. I cropped the image, increased the shadows and whites and decreased the highlights for this final image.

Nicely captured. Background not a distraction. Flower looks a little sad but still attracting hummers. I think the condition of the flower adds to the interest of the picture. Hummers are my favorite subjects.   Posted: 10/10/2025 06:15:09
Sarita, I agree with Doug. Interesting position of the wings forward while the bird is standing on the flower and not hovering. I consider the fact that you can see the flower through the wing as an added bonus.   Posted: 10/10/2025 13:41:45
This image stood out to me from the many others I took because the flower petal seen through the wings. It made up for the sad flower.   Posted: 10/13/2025 17:25:59
