This is a Great Green Macaw taken in Costa Rica. It is a wild bird and there were several of them at the location. They are endangered and there were less than 1000 of them left when I shot this in 2022.

Dough, great capture of a BIF. It is very sharp, and with no distractions in the background. The colors are very vivid. Interesting that the wings are sharp tip to tip with an f/4. Just to be picky, I would give a hair extra of real state in the front for the bird to fly into. Posted: 10/10/2025 13:32:12

I put this image into a local competition and it did not do well but many of the other participants felt it was poorly judged. So there you are ... don't let your feeling get hurt. Others opinions are only opinions. Just carry on and enjoy the experiences. Posted: 10/25/2025 17:40:17
