Gerhard, you are here presenting two new terms to my nature lexicon: The Goliath Heron which to me looks very similar to the Reddish Egret we have here in Florida including the colors of the feathers. According to your description they can get very tall, I am not sure the Reddish Egret is that big; and the other is the Tiger Fish which I have never seen before. Obviously the African Continent offers a different variety of wild life. The image is sharp. Some of the bushes interfere with the image, but it is what it is.

Great action shot. The bird is sharp with the details in the feathers coming through. You could easily remove grass that goes across the fish and bill by using the remove tool in LR. I would have left a little bit more space above. But you have to take what nature has to offer. This looks more like the Purple Heron I have photographed in India.   Posted: 10/13/2025 17:49:04
I thank you all for your positive feedback and suggestions. The image is what was there in its natural environment.   Posted: 10/14/2025 06:09:51
