About the Image(s)
I went to visit Rome in 2023 and the one place I made sure to visit was St. Peter's Basilica. This is simply stunning. This is the view from the inside of the dome. I used ISO 800, f/8 at 1/15sec.

Beautiful, Nenette! Very sharp and the tonality is right on the money. It's been a long time since I've visited St Peters and have found the sheer scale of the place to be astonishing. Your photo conveys some of that.   Posted: 10/11/2025 22:22:51
Hi Nenette: A very interesting radial design picture of the dome. Your BW conversion is simply on the money, just beautifully done tonality.
The color version is also magnificent with the blending of colors in the dome. Photographed very well.
Would like to go there some day!   Posted: 10/12/2025 04:16:07

Perfectly shot of this overwhelming dome! I always raise my camera up to the ceiling when I'm inside a church. Wonderful pictures with enormous details. Well captured, perfect centered. The arches are leading to the midst of the dome. Very good not to place it in the middle of the picture. Well done!   Posted: 10/12/2025 22:52:59
Hello Nanette. Your compositional choice is very dynamic adding to the feeling of height and light due to your processing. Always tough to get the cupola done well but you have succeeded.   Posted: 10/13/2025 15:56:39
Beautiful. I second other's comments on dome placement. I assume you weren't able to use a tripod. The sharpness is even more impressive if this was hand held at 1/15 second.   Posted: 10/18/2025 22:04:28
