n the garden this morning, I discovered this large grasshopper that appeared to be hiding and peacefully sleeping among some anemone flowers. After taking a portrait the grasshopper awakened and hopped away.
iPhone camera specs: f/1.2, ISO 20, 1/250 sec, 35mm.

Good choice of effects. The monochrome for this image is interesting. There is a starkness that seems to give the image more impact. I would have been interesting to see the original image. Photographing insects is always and interesting endeavor. They rarely cooperate.

I like the contrast of the monochrome. It might be just a touch soft around his head. The legs are quite sharp. I particularly like seeing the patterns on the leg.
