I took this photo last year with my Nikon D850. I was not using a macro lens. All editing was completed in photoshop, and I finish stylizing with oil paint.

Lori, very nice image. The brightness of the image is stunning. My eye gets locked into the center of the sunflower giving the image an almost motion attribute. Makes me a bit dizzy. The lighting emphasizes the detail of the sunflower. Very nicely done. I would like to know a bit more about your camera settings. I am still a student of PhotoShop and would be interested steps for getting the painterly effect.
