About the Image(s)
This one was selected to illustrate the dangers of rodeo to the Cowboys. It has been worked a bit, firstly to minimise the background. This is always a problem where a lot of the action is close to the side so its quite sharp even though its shot at f2.8. The background was desaturated, negative dehaze and texture applied and the contrast dropped. And as the image is quite symmetrical and I felt the RH clown could have been closer, I just moved him over a click

Mark, I can see why this was used to show the danger of bull riding! The poor man looks like he's being badly gored!
Your processing was excellent. I completely agree with the move to have the LH clown closer. The bull-fighting images on the wall seem appropriate. Did you consider removing the white lines? (Here's what it would look like.)

Thanks Pete. The lines are an outline of the region so have meaning but do clutter the background. Thanks for your thoughts!   Posted: 10/13/2025 04:02:38
Excellent action photo!Love the dirt flying! I like the changes Pete did. I don't have any changes to make it better.   Posted: 10/02/2025 03:28:42
Great action shot. I agree with Pete's comments and his additional post-processing removal of the white line.   Posted: 10/08/2025 21:30:04
There's a great story here Mark. I love the way you've even been able to capture the cowboy with his feet off the ground so we know he is being thrown forward. Your post processing overall has worked well. I love the guy on the left. We can see his facial expression. I'm curious to see what it would like like without the RH clown in pink. It's just something to consider.   Posted: 10/21/2025 04:33:32
