About the Image(s)
My nephew, his girlfriend and I planned carefully and once again did a series of shots in my backyard well after the blue hour. This time my nephew had a larger role of holding the prop that suspended a 24" (smaller this time) LED hula hoop from a black bungee while it spun for 5 seconds. Again we used the flat with rear curtain shutter sync.
I first eliminated my nephew and the props from the image. Then with instructions only from CghatGPT I built each of the colored lines in the meteors tail. Next I took a Milky Way shot from 2019 and adjusted it to the angle it would be if seen on the night that we shot, and merged it in as the background.
I provided glow around and below the orb, I provided some background glow to the streaks. I tinted Maris gown and lower arms with a very subtle cyan as it would have caught the light off of the orb. I created an origin spot in the universe for the meteor.
I believe that this is PSA PIDC legal. WE will see how it does in a U.S. competition and in a foreign competition.
