About the Image(s)
Recently, I was looking through an old photo album at the photos I took during a trip to Hong Kong and China in 1995. This was taken two years before Hong Kong was returned to China.
This image was taken during a ferry crossing on Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong and it caught my eye. For a moment I thought it was probably a postcard, but then I found the colour negative in a plastic sleeve taped to the inside cover of the album. A few weeks ago, I took it to my local photographic processor and this was the result.
I particularly like the red colour in the sail of the Chinese Junk, as it sailed across the bow of our ferry.
I think the colour of the water is probably a little off, but it was so long ago I can’t remember.
Camera: Pentax Spotmatic, probably on fully auto setting. Although the colour negatives do not have a brand name along the edge, they are most probably Fujicolor film.
