About the Image(s)
This is a composite of two images. The fire and the flames were taken during a tour of a manufacturing jeweller's shop in Istanbul. At the time a crucible of silver metal beads was being melted over an open charcoal fired kiln with the flames making a spectacular photo.
The photo of the girl was taken during a model shoot in a studio.
The two images were combined by experimenting with the Blending modes in Photoshop

What a spooky image, Martin! Your creativity always amazes me. The fire image really works well with the disheveled looking woman. Wonderful composite!   Posted: 10/05/2025 15:15:17
Great creativity and color. Makes me hurt for her!   Posted: 10/12/2025 21:57:05
There is no pain. She is the Phoenix ... she is rising from the ashes!

Martin, your penchant for portraiture certainly runs the gamut. (smile).
My first impression of your image invoked memories of the (very) hard Rock album covers from the 70's. I immediately thought you person was a man (ala Ozzy Ozbourne) with his Black Sabbath persona.
The compositing and blending of the two images have achieved your goal of the Phoenix mystique.
I love experimenting with these PS applications.
