About the Image(s)
I missed this little critter when I walked right past it. Someone else pointed it out to me. It was having a breakfast of cattail stalks.

Good Subject active. I get the impression that you had to crop it moderately as it isn't totally sharp focus. It is well placed and good color. Contrast may be too much. This is an unusual subject, probably not encountered often. Good capture.   Posted: 07/09/2026 21:37:51
Good action shot. Maybe tone down some of the highlights just a bit. But fun image.   Posted: 07/10/2026 21:54:27
Celery appetizer! Fun shot of the round creature and probably what I like about the image is the viewing angle. Perfect.   Posted: 07/15/2026 20:37:15
My first muskrat! Should be a bit sharper and I'd cut the hilights down.   Posted: 07/17/2026 13:12:57
Wonderful how the stalk leads right into his scary mouth. Good highlight in the eye. Now a likeable creature but it's a good photo

It was also my first time seeing a muskrat. It seemed hungry and was enjoying some good food. Slightly toning down the highlights might reveal more details, although the subject itself is already quite perfect.   Posted: 07/20/2026 03:25:21
