About the Image(s)
The image of Tower Bridge was taken back in the 1990s. I recently loaded a program called Dynamic Auto Painter. I pre-prepped the image in Camera Raw and then ran it through the Auto Painter twice. I have included the first run through. I brought the image back into Photoshop and blended them together and then did some minor adjustments. I would appreciate any feedback and comments. Thank you.

Hi Greg - I like all three images. You have a strong foundation image to start with which worked well when running it through your new program which certainly does what its name implies. The outcome is lovely - artistic and reflecting that old world charm.   Posted: 03/09/2024 17:17:38

Hi Darcy,
Thanks for your feedback. The program has so many choices so it will take some time to figure it out.

Hi Greg. It is interesting to try different approaches in our artistic endeavours. Interesting result depicting textures of the background canvas and giving a new painterly look to the photograph without losing the impact of the original scene. I particularly prefer the final image over the original 2   Posted: 03/09/2024 21:03:11

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your feedback. It's a fun program that will allow me to experiment with different options. It also allows me to rework some my old images.

Hi Greg,
Wow, what an interesting effect!
First of all, I love the original image, which could stand alone on its own merits.
You do achieve a wonderful "old world" feel with the brushstrokes created. The one thing that bothers me just a bit are the "too dark" splotches in the sky - especially the one under the bridge. It doesn't exist in the original, so I'm not quite sure why it's there. I think I'd like the other two if they were more blue than black. Just my 2 cents!
Great image and wonderful work!

A lovely capture of the bridge. I like the angle and composition. I like how there was still detail retained in the towers and the bridge cables. I like the coloring of the sky more in this version, but Original 2 gives me an overcast feel that I would envision with London also. I love the idea of taking an older capture and finding a new way to process it.   Posted: 03/14/2024 10:26:45

Hi Greg. Your original image is a beautiful capture of the bridge and it's surroundings. I actually think I like it the best, although the final is significantly more dramatic. I like the warmer tones of the water and the bridge, which contrasts well with the darker blues in the sky. It looks like it should be an illustration in a book. I agree that it would be beneficial to eliminate the smudge in the sky in the middle. I'll have to check out the Dynamic Auto Painter program!   Posted: 03/18/2024 17:21:23
